REAL WEDDING: JESSICA AND STEVEN

Steven and Jessica met over ten years ago as teenagers and remained friends for many years, until they shared their first kiss and from that moment realized they were inseparable.

On New Years Day, Steven organised a picnic with the couple’s closest friends and family, who all at the time knew exactly what he had planned. The Royal National Park in Sydney was a place Jessica had always  wanted to visit and was the perfect location for his planned proposal.

During the day, Steven took Jessica by the hand and asked her to take a walk with him, and as they reached the water Steven pulled her in close, confirmed his love to her and dropped down on one knee and asked Jessica to marry him.

The couple had a traditional ceremony, followed by a fun, colourful and quirky party at Luna Park reception.

Jessica told Wedded Wonderland, “We felt that the ambience of the park, the beauty of the sea and the vibrance of our family and friends were a great mixture in creating something special and unique for our wedding day.”

Jessica told Wedded Wonderland the best moment of the night was her husbands speech. “It was obvious that my husband was really nervous on the day of our wedding, he was not much of a public speaker and the fear of delivering a speech played slowly in the back of his mind.

As he stood up to begin his speech, I naturally began to feel really anxious (for him), but what followed, I could have never prepared myself for. His heart-warming, honest and emotional words brought tears to my eyes and those of our guests. From here on, I realised that with Steven, I had absolutely nothing to worry about and that our love could conquer all of our greatest fears.” So sweet!

Jessica’s one piece of advice to brides is to enjoy the process of planning because no matter what happens, the day will still feel absolutely magical!
